A teenager was shot early Christmas morning in the Bronx, but is expected to survive.
A 16-year-old was shot once in the chest early Christmas morning while on his way to visit his grandmother in the Melrose Houses in the Bronx, police sources said.
The teen was in a hallway in the public housing development at around 1:30 a.m. when he was shot by a suspect wearing a black ski mask, the sources said. The gunman then fled, cops said.
It wasn’t clear if the two were having a fight before the teen was shot. The teen was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition.
