Fans Head to MetLife Stadium for First Ever Cold Weather Outdoor Super Bowl

It’s Super Bowl Sunday and this evening all eyes will be on MetLife Stadium just across the Hudson River.

The Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks will face off at the Giants and Jets home stadium in the first ever cold weather outdoor Super Bowl.

Kickoff is tonight at 6:30 p.m.

Anyone attending Super Bowl XLVIII will encounter tight security starting on the buses and trains headed to the stadium.

The doors will open at 2 p.m. and fans are encouraged to come early because there will be extensive security screenings.

Spectators will only be allowed to bring clear plastic bags and small clutch bags into the stadium.

Small cameras and binoculars without their cases are allowed.

Video cameras are prohibited.

Even though the weather is not expected to be as cold as many feared it would be, ticket holders are still encouraged to dress in layers.
