Banksy unveils his ‘Reaper’

It’s drop-dead artsy.

Bansky unveiled a Halloween-themed installation featuring the grim reaper riding a bumper-car style spinning cart — to the tune of the 70s hit “Don’t fear the Reaper” — on Elizabeth and Houston streets on Friday evening.

A large crowd gathered at the street corner, which had been blocked off with tarps all day, for a peek at the spooky weirdness.

Others weren’t as enthusiastic.

“OMG Bansky is such a fame whore,” @leigh_silver posted on twitter.

The notorious British street artist posted a video of the project on Friday, listing the location incorrectly as “Bowery.”

It’s his 25th piece of street art, installed as part of the month-long New York-based project, “Better Out Than In.”
