CUNY employee Avi Gannon admitted to spending $ 25,000 on personal items with his school-issued credit card.




A CUNY employee Wednesday admitted using his school-issued credit card to buy pricey boots and Apple products for his family, officials said.


Avi Gannon, 42, a senior associate in the College of Staten Island’s IT department, bilked the school of $ 25,000 in the scam that began in 2007, officials said.

Gannon won’t face any jail time, but he will have to pay back the money he spent on kid-sized Ugg boots, a Coach purse, framed movie posters, video games and Apple products for his family, officials said.


He will also forgo $ 21,000 the school would have paid him in annual leave, officials said.
