DNA match in ‘Baby Hope’ cold case

Cops have made a break in the tragic 1991 case of “Baby Hope” — the little girl whose body was found in a cooler on the side of the Henry Hudson Parkway, a law-enforcement source revealed on Monday.

Police have matched the DNA of the 3-to-5-year-old — named Baby Hope by the cops who paid for her funeral — to a person they believe is her mother, the source said.

The break came after cops made a renewed push to solve the case on its anniversary.

The decomposed body was found in a filthy cooler with soda cans on a hot summer day in Washington Heights.

It was later determined that the girl had been starved, sexually assaulted, beaten and strangled.

Her possible mom is being questioned by police.

No charges have been made in the case and the investigation is ongoing.
