Welcome to the TCS NYC Marathon, which will be so named beginning in 2014 when Tata Consulting Services takes ove sponsorship of the long-distance race.
ING is out and Tata Consultancy Services is in as the new sponsor of the New York City Marathon.
Organizers of the endurance challenge said the Indian technology giant would pick up the baton from the Dutch financial firm and begin backing the race in 2014.

Tata Consultancy Services signed an eight-year partnership with the New York Road Runners Club to sponsor the five-borough long-distance run and around-the-year activities connected to it.
“TCS won us over with their commitment to our sport, to making a difference in our communities through running and through their aspirations to help us embrace … technology,” Road Runners’ chief Mary Wittenberg said.

This year’s race will take place Nov. 3 after it was canceled last year due to Hurricane Sandy.
