Sources: Man Caught On Video Beating SUV Driver Under Arrest

Police have arrested another man in connection with last week’s motorcycle road rage incident.

Sources tell NY1 the man seen on video attacking SUV driver Alexian Lien was arrested inside his Brooklyn home last night and is expected to be charged later today.

The latest arrest comes as police released pictures of two other men as they try to figure out if they were involved in the assault on Lien, who was driving with his wife and child at the time.

Police say Lien was pulled out of his Range Rover in Washington Heights last Sunday, during an altercation that started on West Side Highway. Lien was assaulted after his drivers side window was broken.

New video shows Lien on the ground, struggling to get up as he is surrounded by a group of bikers.

This, as a man seen on the video smashing his helmet against the window of the SUV went before a judge yesterday.

Reginald Chance made a crude gesture towards photographers during his court appearance.

The 37-year-old is facing charges of assault and gang assault and is still in police custody.

Police say Chance broke Lien’s driver side window, but his attorney says that’s all he did, and had nothing to do with the beating.

“My client obviously overreacted in smashing the window. But beyond that, he was not a participant in any assault on that victim. So, we are going to contest those charges vigorously,” said Chance’s attorney, Gregory Watts.

On Saturday, 35-year-old Robert Simms was arraigned on similar charges. He’s believed to have tried to open the door to the SUV while it was stopped on the West Side Highway.

Another biker, Christopher Cruz, was arraigned last week on reckless driving and unlawful imprisonment charges.

He is free on bail.

Biker Edwin Mieses, who was run over by the Range Rover after several motorcyclists surrounded the vehicle, remains hospitalized and may be paralyzed.

Meanwhile, a Washington Heights man is being recognized for stepping in during the beating of the SUV driver.

Sergio Consuegra says he was on his way to church when he came across the scene.

He says the bikers were on top of Alexian Lien – and were trying to go after his wife – who was still in the Range Rover.

The father of 10 is the man seen in police surveillance photo.

He says he had a feeling of “intense danger” when he told the bikers to stop beating the driver and wished he could have done more.
