Two Men Plead Not Guilty In Connection With 1-Year-Old’s Shooting Death

Two men arrested in connection with the death of a 1-year-old boy pleaded not guilty Thursday to murder and weapons charges.

Daquan Breland and Daquan Wright both appeared Thursday in court in Brooklyn.

Breland, who allegedly shot the toddler, faces up to 25 years in prison.

Wright faces 15 years in prison on weapons charges.

Family members of Antiq Hennis were present in the courtroom.

They said they want no mercy for Breland.

“I don’t think that he had remorse or anything, and I don’t think his family should support him, because, you killed a baby,” said Sheneva Williams, Antiq Hennis’ aunt. “That was an innocent kid. He was so innocent. And I feel like he is so, so trifling and he don’t have a heart.”

Antiq was hit in the head while he was being pushed in his stroller.

Investigators believe his father was the intended target.
