Indictment Expected In Baby Hope Murder Case

Prosecutors in the Baby Hope case are expected to unveil their indictment against the girl’s accused killer today.

Conrado Juarez was initially arraigned on a murder charge after his arrest last month.

He is accused of killing 4-year-old Anjelica Castillo in 1991, then dumping her body along the Henry Hudson Parkway in Manhattan.

Police say Juarez confessed to sexually abusing and suffocating the girl, who was his cousin.

But he later told reporters that the girl’s death was an accident.

Castillo went unidentified for more than two decades.

Police started raising awareness about the cold case earlier this year, and eventually got a tip that led to the girl’s identity and to Juarez’ arrest.
