Moment of horror in Halloween shooting

This is the moment when a crazed gunman fatally opened fire on an unsuspecting victim in front of a Brownsville bodega during a night of bloodshed on Halloween.

The suspect was captured running up to victim Kevin Thompson, 37, and gunning him down on Park Place, right around the corner from the victim’s Saratoga Avenue home, at 11:25 p.m., Thursday, police said.

The armed assassin wore a camouflage coat, a knit ski cap, jeans and construction boots when he moved into kill Thompson with one bullet to the back of the neck, police said.

The victim had been standing in the middle of the sidewalk, on the corner, and appeared to be taking a drink when the suspect ran up from behind and ambushed him, shocking video shows.

Thompson raced around the corner in an attempt to flee but collapsed and was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made and police are asking for the public’s help finding the suspect.
