The NYPD detective charged in September’s West Side Highway motorcycle melee pleaded not guilty to gang assault.
Prosecutors accuse undercover, off-duty officer Wojciech Braszczok of shattering the back window of an SUV driven by Alexian Lien.
Lien’s wife and child were also inside.
In all, 11 bikers were indicted. All pleaded not guilty.
The incident began when Lien’s vehicle bumped a slow-moving cyclist.
After that, riders converged on the SUV and Lien ran over one of them while fleeing.
The group chased him up the highway, pulled him from his vehicle and beat him on the street.
Lien has not been charged.
An attorney for Braszczok had no comment.
