Police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run in the Flatlands section of Brooklyn.
Authorities say 47-year-old Vernon Bramble was hit at the corner of Flatbush Avenue and East 34th Street late Friday night.
Bramble was unconscious when EMS arrived and was later pronounced dead at Beth Israel Hospital.
Neighbors say that they hope the driver is caught.
“I liked him, and I liked his family, too,” said one person. “I just really hope that whoever did this to him and his family would come forward and give themselves up, because it’s just, it’s just not fair.”
Police say that Bramble was hit by a black car heading south on Flatbush Avenue.
The investigation is ongoing.
