Chaos broke out at Terminal C of LaGuardia Airport on Friday when Michael Constantino, 35, a one-armed amateur boxer, slugged a police officer and bit another, sources said.
A one-armed boxer from Queens slugged one cop and bit another during a Mike Tyson-like meltdown at LaGuardia Airport on Friday, sources said.
The bizarre fracas broke out in Terminal C after Michael Constantino, 35, started shouting and acting erratically about 8:35 a.m., sources said. The two Port Authority cops rushed to the ticketing area and were leading Constantino to an ambulance when the former amateur boxer went berserk, throwing a left hook that landed on the jaw of one officer before biting the other’s right hand, sources said.

A third cop hurt his back restraining the man, who was screaming and spitting, said PA spokesman Joe Pentangelo.
Constantino, who had a ticket for a WestJet flight to Toronto, was taken to Elmhurst Hospital. He was charged with assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Constantino, who won “Boxer of the Night” honors at the Golden Gloves in 2002, sued the TSA in 2011 — claiming he was turned down for a job because of his handicap.
The pugnacious pugilist from Whitestone told the Daily News at the time that he was perfectly capable of working as a Transportation Security Administration screener.

“Anyone that knows me knows it’s ridiculous for them to say I can’t open luggage,” Constantino said. “I’ve fought in the Golden Gloves. I work out with former world champions. Opening luggage would be pretty easy for me.”
The suit was settled in 2012, said his lawyer, Jonathan Bell. The attorney said he had no information on the airport incident.
