Some runners looking to warm up for Sunday’s marathon participated in a 5K run Saturday in Manhattan.
The “Dash to the Finish Line” event is being sponsored by the New York Road Runners and gives athletes another chance to run through city streets.
More than 5,000 people are expected to take part, including 11 Olympic athletes.
Sunday’s main event will take runners through all five boroughs.
The run starts at the United Nations and shares a finish line with the New York City Marathon in Central Park.
