A skateboarder was killed when she was hit by a mini-school bus in the Bronx.

A 21-year-old skateboarder was killed Wednesday morning when a mini-school bus carrying kids plowed into her in the Melrose section of the Bronx, police said.

Genielle Laboriel was cruising north on Melrose Ave. on a longboard around 7:15 a.m. when she was stuck while crossing 160th St., cops said.

Juanita Hernandez, 42, said the woman was skateboarding on the sidewalk and entered the crosswalk to get across 160th St. The bus hit her as it turned right from Melrose Ave., cops said.

“When the bus turned, she went under the front tire,” said Hernandez, who saw the woman cut down on a recording captured by her neighbor’s security camera.

The children were not injured in the crash and were carried off the bus, witnesses and officials said. Police confiscated the recording and were investigating.

The driver remained on the scene.

“In my opinion, it wasn’t either one of their faults,” said Hernandez. “I just think she lost control of the speed of her skateboard.”

Hernandez said the skateboarder was wearing headphones and no helmet. She was taken to Lincoln Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.

“I see her every morning around the same time,” Hernandez said. “She goes by on that skateboard.”

Another skateboarder who said he knew Laboriel said she was part of a group that cruises the area.

Nelson McKinsey, 49, lives on 160th St., said he was returning home from the corner store when he heard a scream.

“When I heard the scream and looked, she was already under the bus,” he said.

McKinsey ran upstairs, grabbed his cellphone and called 911. He returned to see the bus backing off the woman.

“She flailed her arms a little,” he said. “She moved her hand. It took a few seconds for the driver to back off of her.”

He said the skateboarder was wearing a black T-shirt and jeans.

“When they picked her up to put her on the stretcher, it looked like she had tire marks on her chest near her stomach,” he said. “I’ve never seen anything before like that in my life. It bugged me out.”
