Celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred announced Friday that she will be representing the family of a biker hospitalized during the motorcycle madness in upper Manhattan that ended with a an SUV driver pummeled in front of his family.


Allred — who was sworn into the New York Bar by an Albany judge last week — said she will be gathering with the family of Edwin Mieses for a news conference on Friday afternoon.

According to a press release, Allred is expected to explain how Mieses, 32, was an innocent victim in the wild ordeal.

Mieses, of Lawrence, Mass., was in critical condition at St. Luke’s Hospital, where he was being treated for a list of injuries that include two broken legs, a torn aorta and spinal fractures.

Police have said that Mieses was run over by the SUV driver — Alexian Lien, 33 — when he tried to escape from a group of angry bikers who attacked his vehicle after a fender bender on the Henry Hudson Parkway.


The chaotic confrontation triggered a 4-mile chase that was captured on a rider’s helmet cam and posted to YouTube — where the clip boasted more than 6 million views on Friday.

A pack of motorcyclists caught up with Lien, who was driving his wife and their 2-year-old daughter, in Washington Heights — where they beat and slashed him after pulling him from his luxury SUV.

“We were faced with a life-threatening situation, and my husband was forced under the circumstances to take the actions he did in order to protect the lives of our entire family,” Lien’s wife, Rosalyn Ng, said in a statement issued on Thursday.
