Ruiz got more than he bargained for when he came up behind MaryJane Jarman, 33, on Sept. 27 in Fort Tryon Park, cops said.
He was carrying a broken bottle and got her in a bear hug but she fought back, drawing blood from his head by beating him with a bike pump, sources said. He dropped the bottle at the scene and police lifted a fingerprint from it and identified him as the attacker, they said.

Jarman’s 8-month-old son, Thayne, was not hurt, though the stroller was knocked to the ground when she struggled with Ruiz, police said.
The incident was investigated as an attempted sexual assault. Charges were pending Monday.
