Newborn with umbilical cord attached found in backyard

A newborn boy who still had his umbilical cord attached was found in a Queens back yard this morning, cops said.

A resident in the house on 132nd street in South Ozone Park heard what he thought was a cat crying in the back yard around 7 a.m., only to discover the 4-pound naked child, in the grass, cops said. The infant appeared to be nearly full term.

The baby was taken to Jamaica Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Police are investigating, and no arrests have been made.
