Two struck by cars in Queens


Two people are fighting for their lives after being struck by vehicles at around the same time in separate incidents in Queens Friday night, cops said.


A 65-year old woman was hit on 53rd avenue and 206th street in Bayside at about 8 p.m., authorities said.


The woman was rushed to New York Hospital Queens where she is listed in critical condition, cops added.


At around the same time, an unidentified man was struck by a car on Union Turnpike and 166th street in the Hillcrest section of Queens, authorities said.


He was taken to Queens Hospital where he also remains in critical condition, cops said.


Both drivers remained on scene and cops don’t suspect any criminality.
