Trayon Christian, 19, said nothing as he exited Attorney General Eric Schneiderman’s Manhattan office with his lawyer and his parents on Friday.
The black teen suing Barneys for racial profiling and a pair of ex-store security guards met Friday with the state attorney general in his ongoing probe of the retailer.
“It went well,” said Michael Palillo, attorney for Trayon Christian, after their session in the offices of prosecutor Eric Schneiderman. “They were very receptive.”
Christian, 19, said nothing as he exited Schneiderman’s Manhattan office with the lawyer and his parents.
The Queens teen was the initial spark of the shop-and-frisk firestorm. The News was first to report that he sued Barneys after he was detained for buying a $ 349 Ferragamo belt.
A second African-American shopper, 21-year-old Kayla Phillips, accused Barneys of the same thing, and two other black customers claimed they were mistreated in similar fashion at Macy’s.
The two former Barneys security workers met with Schneiderman for three hours on Friday and are expected to meet with him again next week, their lawyer Patrick DeLince said. Raymel Cardona and Aaron Argueta “had a productive meeting with the AG’s office,” said DeLince, who declined to provide details.
Schneiderman gave Macy’s and Barneys until Friday to turn over documents related to security. A source told The News that his office has begun receiving documents from both stores.
