Police are investigating another possible “knockout game” attack in Brooklyn after an elderly Russian woman was sucker-punched in the face on Monday, police sources said.
Mira Harpazi, 72, was walking on Vandalia and Pennsylvania Aves. in East New York around noon when a young man simply walked up to her and socked her in the kisser, the sources said.

The suspect said nothing to Harpazi and did not make an attempt to rob her, one law enforcement source told the Daily News.
She was taken to Brookdale Hospital and listed in stable condition, police said.

A surveillance camera captures an attack. Police are investigating another possible ‘knockout’ attack in Brooklyn where a 72-year-old woman was punched in the face.
Cops are probing the incident as a possible “Knockout Game” attack, the sources said. Players in the twisted game selected innocent passersby and assault them with a single punch, attempting to knock them unconscious.
The game, which often includes a video of the violence that is posted on social media, has stirred up widespread frenzy. The NYPD has responded to recent reports of the random violence by beefing up police presence in areas where attacks have occurred.

The possible incident on Monday follows a spate of similar attacks in the Midwood and Crown Heights sections of Brooklyn. Last week, a 78-year-old woman told cops she was hit in the back of the head while walking along E. 5th St. and Ave. L earlier this month.
Seven Orthodox Jews were also targeted in Crown Heights, and the NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force has been investigating the attacks.
Police arrested Amrit Marajh, 28, in connection with one of the brutal blows. He was charged on Saturday with misdemeanor assault, menacing and harassment charges for punching Shmuel Perl in Brooklyn.
