A bald suspect who spoke Spanish and wore wire-rimmed glasses stole $ 25,000 in prescription meds after abducting a pharmaceutical company representative in Queens, police said Friday.
The suspect pulled a gun on a 49-year-old pharmaceutical company rep after the man made a delivery at an office in the vicinity of 150th St. and 14th Ave. in Whitestone at about 8 a.m. on April 18.
The thief, believed to be in his early 30s, led the man at gunpoint back to a blue 2000 Dodge Caravan that he was using to make deliveries. Inside was roughly $ 25,000 in prescription drugs. The suspect ordered the man into the passenger seat, hopped behind the wheel and drove off.
He drove to Yonkers, ordered the pharmaceutical company rep out of the vehicle, and drove off.
The NYPD released a sketch of the suspect on Friday and urged anyone with information to call the department’s Crime Stoppers tipline at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
