A crazed carjacker who clung to the side of a cab and went along for a wild ride along the Bruckner Expressway in the Bronx was busted early Monday, cops said.
Matthew McCorkle, 26, latched on to the hack’s SUV after a slew of failed attempts to pull open car doors and drive away on the Bruckner Expressway about 2 a.m., a witness said.
The man, who cops said was hopped up, was caught on cell phone video balancing his feet along the running board and hanging onto the roof of the cab.
Later, he balanced himself on the back bumper while the driver flashed his emergency lights.
If he fell down, that would have been it for him.
“The guy was out of his mind,” said Vlane Carter, 39, who recorded the incident. “If he fell down, that would have been it for him. He didn’t care if he lived or died.”
McCorkle hopped off when the driver hit traffic and pounced on his next victim, a 61-year-old man who drove a 1997 Toyota Corolla, cops said.
He ripped the man from the car and drove off before crashing at East Gun Hill Road, cops said.

McCorkle, who’s been busted before for criminal possession of a weapon and menacing a 36-year-old woman, was arrested on a slew of charges including robbery and operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, cops said.
No one was injured, cops said.
