2 elderly women assaulted in separate incidents in NYC

Two elderly women were assaulted, and one of them robbed, in two separate incidents this week in Queens and The Bronx, cops said.

In the latest attack, an 82-year-old woman was socked in the face on Thursday by a deranged man who was caught on video surveillance in the Ridgewood, Queens, cops said.

The suspect came up behind her and punched her in the face at around 6:30 a.m. on Myrtle Avenue and Seneca Street, police said.

Cops believe the creep is about 25 to 30 years old, 5-foot-7 and was last seen wearing a pair of blue jeans and a black t-shirt with a white design.

The woman suffered swelling and bruising to her face but it wasn’t immediately clear if she received medical attention, cops said.

The first incident happened on Sept. 20th when a 76-year-old woman was strangled and robbed by a man who followed her into her Bedford Park building on Grand Concourse, police said.

Once she stepped inside, the man crept up behind her and strangled the woman, cops said.

He asked her where the money was and ran off with $ 500, cops said.

She was rushed to New York Presbyterian Hospital for bruising to her neck and legs, according to police.

The suspect is in his late 50’s to early 60’s, 5-foot-11 and was last seen wearing a white button down shirt and dark pants.
