A Fire Department EMS captain was arrested on charges of committing sex crimes in Los Angeles earlier this month, police sources said.
Wilbert Riera, 51, of Bay Shore, LI was picked up in Staten Island on Friday afternoon, the sources said. The arrest occurred around 5:20 p.m. on Rossville Avenue, near a shopping mall.
Riera is charged with six counts of felony sex assault, records say.
The sexual offenses were committed September 12, police sources said.
