PATH Service Suspended ‘Indefinitely’ at Manhattan Station

Path service between Manhattan and two New Jersey stations has been suspended indefinitely.

The Port Authority says trains to and from 33rd Street in Manhattan and Journal Square and Hoboken are shut down again.

Officials say smoke is still an issue in part of the tunnel where an electrical fire broke out near 23rd Street.

It shut down service for hours Sunday and into the Monday morning rush.

PATH service is running normally between the World Trade Center and Newark and Hoboken stations.

New Jersey Transit is cross-honoring tickets on its rail and bus lines.
