Gunman wounds two men in shooting on Bronx street

A gunman blasted away at two men as they walked down a Bronx street, wounding both of them, cops said Friday in releasing video evidence of the crime.


The video shows the assailant pull a gun from his waistband and open fire at two 21-year-old men on Faile St. near Lafayette Ave. in Hunts Point at 3:40 p.m. Thursday. The gunman then ducked into a doorway, popped back out, fired once more, then escaped into the building, according to the surveillance video.


One of the men was hit once in the left foot; the other man was struck once in the right foot, cops said.


Paramedics took one of the two men to Lincoln Medical Center, where his non-life threatening wound was treated.


A short time later, the second man limped into Jacobi Medical Center, where he was treated.


Investigators described the shooter as a Latino.
