Emergency crews have responded to what appears to be a fatal fall involving a construction worker outside a Manhattan hotel this afternoon.
Fire officials say they responded to a call just after 2 p.m. outside the Dream Hotel on 55th Street and Broadway in Midtown.
Witnesses at the scene say the male construction worker was on scaffolding outside the hotel when he fell onto the sidewalk shed below.
Further details were not immediately available.
The city Department of Buildings and Occupational Safety and Health Administration say representatives have responded to the scene.
