NYPD: Driver Fled Scene After Striking Two on Brooklyn Sidewalk

Police are looking for the driver of a car that crashed into two people in Brooklyn early Saturday morning.

A 27-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman are both in stable condition in the hospital after the accident.

Police say it happened just before 2 a.m. at the intersection of Seaview Avenue and Louisiana Avenue in East New York.

The car hit the side of 11245 Seaview Avenue and witnesses say it pinned the male victim to the wall.

“He was conscious. When I seen him his back was in the wall. When I started pulling him I noticed that his legs were broke in four places and he was weak. He started to leak a lot of blood out. I put some pressure on it so the blood would stop until the ambulance got there. He laid on the floor. When we laid him on the floor that’s when he started going out,” said one person at the scene.

Police say the car stayed on the scene, but the driver ran off.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit http://ift.tt/17IHIZe.
