A man is hospitalized after being stabbed with a broom handle in Hell’s Kitchen.
The 19-year-old was attacked just after 3 p.m. near West 52nd Street and 10th Avenue.
We spoke to the victim’s father, Carlos Fuentes, at the scene who says a group of men chased his son out of a store.
“They grabbed a broom and they stabbed him up inside the back with a broom. His lung collapsed, they had to put a tube down this throat, but he’s stable. He’s all right. He’s moving,” Fuentes said.
The teen was rushed to New York Presbyterian Hospital but is expected to recover.
Police say multiple suspects were involved in the stabbing.
