Police are questioning a man in connection with a shooting on the Upper West Side.
Officials say it happened shortly after 9:30 p.m. Friday near West 83rd Street and Amsterdam Avenue.
Witnesses say the shooter got into an argument with two people when he pulled a gun and started shooting.
One man was shot in the leg and was taken to the hospital.
Both victims are expected to recover.
“We heard, like, a pop first, and then, we saw police outside with their guns drawn, and then everybody started moving towards the middle of the bar, just getting down on the ground because you’re sort of thinking of a stray bullet, you don’t want that anywhere near you,” said one person at the scene.
“I’ve lived here 30-something years, and I’ve never been this close to this kind of action on the West Side, even in the old days, when it was a little more dangerous,” said another.
There is no word yet on any arrests.
