Three Who Led Police on Wild Queens Chase in Custody

Police say three men are in custody after a robbery and car chase that ended with the car smashing into a deli in Queens early Tuesday morning.

Investigators say the three men robbed workers and customers at a 7-Eleven on Northern Boulevard in Flushing around 3 a.m.

They say one of the men was armed with a shotgun.

The men then fled the scene in a car, and were chased by police.

Officers caught the men after the car slammed into a deli and caught fire a few blocks away at 164th Street and Pidgeon Meadow Road.

The deli’s owner says she was shocked at what she saw when she arrived this morning.

“Five-thirty I open the store, I am coming and I see the lights and fire department and police and everybody I scared,” said Nilam Patel, the deli’s owner.

The three suspected robbers were taken to the hospital.

Police say all the money stolen from the 7-Eleven was recovered, along with the shotgun.
