A young child is dead after an accident in Brooklyn.
Police say it happened at Fifth Avenue and 55th Street in Sunset Park at around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Witness tell NY1 that the girl was attempting to cross the street and jumped into the path of an oncoming car.
Officials do not know the girl’s age, but they say they believe she’s around 3 years old.
The driver of the car is not being charged at this time.
