Police are searching for Wade Arthur, who allegedly shot and killed 23-year-old Henderson Griffith in Brownsville in 1992. Arthur has been on the run for more than 20 years, but was recently spotted in Florida.
Cops are hunting a fugitive wanted in a grisly 1992 Brooklyn killing after getting a tip he was back in the U.S.
The suspect, Wade Arthur, was 22 when he allegedly shot and killed 23-year-old Henderson Griffith during a dispute at the corner of Strauss St. and Lott Ave. in Brownsville back on July 28, 1992.
Several witnesses fingered Arthur as the shooter. The suspect fled to Boston, where he was arrested on cocaine charges, police sources said. But Arthur was released from jail and disappeared before Brooklyn detectives could catch up to him, according to a source.
“He’s been on the run ever since,” the source said.

Over the next 20 years, police heard reports that Arthur was hiding out somewhere, possibly Florida or Barbados.
The next solid lead didn’t come until July, when Arthur, now 42, was spotted in the Fort Lauderdale area.
Police say Arthur is 5-foot-10, about 175 pounds and may be sporting dreadlocks.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
