Annette Bongiorno, former secretary at Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities, shown leaving Manhattan Federal Court in 2011, is accused of helping her former boss run his multibillion-dollar Ponzi scheme.

In terms of comfort, chairs in Manhattan Federal Court are a far cry from those in Bernie Madoff’s old office.

“Ms. Bongiorno is diminutive in stature,” her lawyer said in a filing Monday. “As a result, the standard chairs in the Southern District courtrooms uncomfortable for her to sit in for extended periods.”

Prosecutors aren’t objecting.
