Willie Nelson wants fans to catch the thief he says stole a band member’s toy armadillo from a New York stage.
Country music legend Willie Nelson is hoping fans can help him catch the thief who stole a band member’s toy armadillo from a stage in Westchester.
The stuffed critter, nicknamed Ol’ Dillo, was snatched as Nelson’s roadies packed the band’s equipment after a show at Capital Theater in Port Chester on Thursday.
A grainy surveillance video shows the suspect — a woman wearing a tank top — boldly walking on the stage and grabbing the toy animal before casually stepping away.

The theater’s manager, Tom Bailey, said the armadillo is a treasured travel companion of the band’s monitor engineer, Aaron Foye.
The “On the Road Again” singer posted the clip to his Facebook page, asking fans to identify the brazen bandit.
“We hang armadillo thieves in Texas,” one commenter wrote.
