Two Passengers Hurt After Car Nose Dives Off Union Turnpike


Two passengers are in the hospital with serious injuries after a car took a nose dive off the Union Turnpike in Queens on Sunday.


Officials say the car launched off the Turnpike and plunged one story onto the median of Jackie Robinson Parkway around 2 p.m.


There is no word yet on how fast the car was going or what caused the car to go off the ramp.


A photos sent in by a NY1 viewer shows how the car broke right through the Turnpike barrier, before falling onto the roadway below.
