Woman survives being pushed in front of train

A woman miraculously survived after being pushed in front of a moving Metro-North train in front of horrified commuters in a New York City suburb this morning.

The woman, who is in her 20s, was shoved onto the tracks by a man as an empty northbound train barreled into the White Plains station, around 11:05 a.m., Wednesday, officials said.

The woman was struck and MTA cops quickly scrambled down to the tracks to help her and calm her down, authorities said.

She was taken alive and conscious to Westchester County Medical Center.

Police quickly apprehended a suspect and he is currently being interrogated, law enforcement sources said. He has not yet been charged.

It was not immediately clear whether the victim and attacker knew each other.

Service on the Harlem Line was disrupted for about an hour, according to the MTA.
