Police responded to a 911 call from a subway clerk near 145th St. and Broadway in Harlem after being notified of an 18-year-old who had been stabbed in the head.
A critically injured teen raced into a Harlem subway station after being knifed in the head, officials said Saturday.
The 18-year-old victim was suffering from a puncture wound to the left side of his head when he crept under the turnstiles at the 145th St. station on the No. 1 line about 11:50 p.m. Friday — immediately getting the attention of a subway clerk, police sources said.

But when the teen stood up, the clerk realized he was bleeding and called 911, officials said.
The victim left the station but was soon found leaning up against a light pole on W. 145th St. and Broadway.
Paramedics rushed the victim, whose name was not released, to St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital where he was in critical condition after undergoing surgery.
