The New York City Police Department is investigating after a police involved shooting in Queens this afternoon.
Police say an officer shot a person as a burglary was apparently in progress on 142nd Street in Jamaica.
It happened shortly before 1:30 p.m.
Police say the person’s injuries are not life threatening.
